If
we would go to the north part of the old town, we'll see the Church of Holy Trinity.
It is was founded in 1740 on crossing the streets Podbelski and Museum. The remarkable
skill of the architect is particularly evident in the design of the bell tower.
The cylindrical design of belfry
is unique in Vladimir region.
Township, surrounding the Church is much interesting.
Here hitherto possible to see an ancient town fortifications, which was erected
in XII century.
Proceeding from east along Herzen street we reach the earth
ramparts and town moat of 1108. Rampart is now cut by journey. On the right we
can still see the deep moat merging with the gully and the slopes of the great
earth rampart. Proceeding to the western end of Podbelsky Street we see remains
of the 1108 earth ramparts on the right. The Copper Gates was built in 1158-1164
leading from the New Town down to the River Lybed used to stand either at the
top or bottom of the steep slope.
